Icelander´s don´t have their own official folkdance Despite that they have been dancing for a long time, and the oldest written source is from the year 1106. › The dance that Icelanders danced at that time is known as Vikivaka dances, and is originated from other countries. Because of this we decided to show and teach a very popular dance from last year, which many children in Iceland know and love dancing to day.
This dance was created of Icelanders how where teaching Zumba and is written after a very famous children song named: › I´m the happiest dog in the whole world Because the target group is children it´s fairly easy and fun to learn.
The word´s that occurs most frequently in the song is translated in English as: I´m the happiest, happiest, happiest dog in whole world I´m pat on each day, and I´m digging it. I´m the happiest, happiest, happiest dog in whole world The world threw me a bone, and I´m going to chew on it.
