Quick Reference Guide of Employee Self Service (ESS) – Attendance & Leave Mgmt.
Attendance & Leave Management ESS – AMS allows the employee To send leave\OD requests to his Reporting Manager ESS – AMS allows the Reporting Manager To approve\reject leave \OD requests submitted by the employees
Employee has to login the url to access his interfacehttp://hr.formulahr.com
Leave can be applied through Attendance & Leave Management Module
Before applying any leave, employee can check his leave balance under the tab Leave Balance
System lists the available leave types. Employee can read the conditions with regard to the Selected leave type before applying any leave.
Employee has to fill the from \ to date and reason for applying leave. System will display the Roster of the corresponding selected leave dates.
System will send an alert to the Reporting Manager for approval.
Employee can view the status of the leave applied. System will show the status of leave applied as Pending until the leave gets approved. Employee can also cancel the leave requests before approval, if he wrongly applied.
Reporting Manger has to login the url to access his interface usinghttp://hr.formulahr.com his employee id and password
System will list the roles of the employee where he has to select the role – Reporting Manager - to respond the leave requests submitted by the employees who are reporting to him.
System will change the type of user as Reporting Manager once the employee selected the Role. He has to access the module – Attendance & Leave Management to see the leave requests.
System will list the leave request under the tab Approve Leave / OD
Now he can approve \ reject the leave requests submitted by the employees who are reporting to him. Then System will send an alert to the employee about the approval status of his leave.
The status of the leave type will change as per the decision of the Reporting Manager. Now the status has been changed as Approved ie., The reporting manager has approved the leave request submitted by the employee.
Employee can view the status of the applied leave which includes the (a) Leave type applied (b) Approved by whom (c) Date of approval
System will detect the approved leave count from the respective leave type. Here the employee has availed one day of CL/SL and the same has been detected from the available leave balance.
System will mark the attendance as CL \ SL against the availed leave date.
If employee wants to cancel his leave which was approved, he can do the same by clicking the cancel button as illustrated above
Employee has to mention the reason for canceling the leave and apply for cancellation. System will send an alert to the reporting manager informing the leave cancellation. For canceling the approved leave requests which falls on the future date, approval of the reporting manager is not required.
Employee can also cancel the past-dated-approved-leave requests if he has not utilized.

Reporting Manager has to select the tab Approve Leave – Cancellation, if he wants to approve the past-dated-approved-leave cancellation requests.
He can directly enter the id of the employee, if he want to approve the particular employee
Reporting manager has to enter the remarks to approve the cancellation requests as above.
Employee can view the status of the leave cancellation requests.
System will update the attendance against the leave cancelled dates accordingly.
