CHEMWATCH PROVIDES (M)SDS AUTHORING WORLDWIDE. THE CHEMWATCH (M)SDS IS AVAILABLE IN 47 LANGUAGES AND COMPLIES TO A WIDE RANGE OF FORMATS SUCH AS GHS, CLP AND REACH.
CREDO WILL ASSIST IN CREATING AN (M)SDS OR LABEL FOR ANY MIXTURE OR ANY SUBSTANCE THAT IS MANUFACTURED BY YOUR COMPANY.

SEARCH FOR AN EXISTING OR CREATE NEW MATERIAL AND INPUT ALL DATA FOR THE MATERIAL SUCH AS PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION, MANUFACTURER DETAILS, CREDITE POSTERI – PHYSICAL PROPERTIES,ETC

Use the drop down arrow to open menu fields and fill in your details

5. PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
Add the material name or product name details, catalogue number, issue date, CAS number (PURE substance) and product uses.
Include material or product synonym where applicable
Other options include REACH Registration Number for European Region or if the product will be issued in the EC region. You may also add the REACH Uses of the product.
Enter the EC No. (European Council Number)
Note:
The ‘REACH Regulation number’ and ‘REACH uses’ are only required if the product is intended for distribution in Europe. The product details will be listed in section 1 of the MSDS as required for the GHS standards

6. MANUFACTURER’S DETAILS
Enter the Manufacturer’s details. This is the company’s information for your brand.

Company details, once entered and saved are stored in the Chemwatch database. For subsequent materials, you may add the manufacturer details from the drop down menu.
If your details are NOT available in the database, please send your company details to Chemwatch contact person,

Enter ALL your product INGREDIENTS and classification data related to the PHYSICAL PROPERTIES (called – Credite Posteri).
Ingredients (Active Constituents)
Proportion (%) of each ingredient
State of the material (choose from the drop down – liquid, solid, gas
Select water solubility from the drop down
Enter the applicable pH value or pH value as a solution
Enter Flash Point (°C), etc.
Enter Appearance and more…
Note:
There is no limit to the amount of ingredients that can be added to your mixture and the material name search word- wheel will help you locate the desired substance from the database
Please make sure to use only the ingredients that exist in the ingredient name search word-wheel.
You may create your own (M)SDS separately and use them in your products

Edit existing ingredients in the mixture
Apply the Classification instrument (standard) by pressing the ON/OFF button
Note:
NOHSC is set by default
Other classification standards available to select for your jurisdiction – GHS (CLP), C&L for European REACH standards
Optional – activate (ON/OFF) the Risk Plus [Hazard Plus] to incorporate the applicable Risk Codes and Phrases
Review Ingredient by clicking on the + button – and edit data -> press submit button to save your inputs.
Sanitation View
You may choose to sanitise ingredients by activating the sanitized view button ON/OFF. Only the ingredients with an added alternative name proportion will be sanitised.

9. REVIEW CLASSIFICATION
Apply the Classification instrument (standard) by pressing the ON/OFF button for GHS (CLP) or Hazard Plus (Risk Plus)
Note the automatically generated Risk Codes
Add your own “User Defined” Risk Codes/phrases by clicking on the squared block alongside each R Code. The screenshot shows an example of R20/22 assigned.
Note:
Take note of the colour code for classification risks Generated, Deleted and User Defined.

Enter your own Dangerous Goods Classification data or use Chemwatch default suggestions by clicking on the magnifying glass [UN Number].

Add ingredient by clicking on the IngLookup link
Note
If you do not have the appropriate DG data, you may want to try the DG Suggest switch

11. SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY TO GENERATE DATA
Once all the forms in the classification menu have been completed, click on the SUBMIT button to save your mixture.
Note that the Materials Table will show the product name listed

Select the (M) SDS button
Review your data and edit using the EDIT Icon
