R= Read Stay focused on readings Take breaks every hour/half-hour Make notes of areas to cover again later Do not highlight at this point Summarize what you have read on paper. Make sure that all questions have been answered
R= Recite Recite what you have written down. Do it out loud! Try to study with classmates/groups Reciting material out loud increases retention. Only 20% of material recited is forgotten within 2 weeks. 80% of materials is forgotten in 2 weeks if not recited!
R= Review Within 24 hours Now you can highlight important facts Redo notes as needed and review them consistently
