Objectives and Requirements of KM Basic requirements of KM: A business goal — a means to or component of the organizational goal. A human orientation — all types of knowledge require human interpretation to be useful An implementation strategy — a plan for implementation to which people are committed Systematic, doable processes — improved methods of capturing, codifying, storing, distributing, utilizing knowledge. Communication and information support — knowledge is processed through communication and information transfer; technology facilitates the storage and distribution of knowledge.
