10  Losing your life for Christ saves it, Luke 9:24; Mark 8:35  Choice: Temporary gain with eternal loss, or temporary pain with eternal gain  Your value system is on display, Luke 9:25 10

11  Bearing your cross demands courageous faith  Not shameful shrinking, Luke 9:26  Stand fast…be brave and be strong with love, 1 Cor. 16:13-14 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Tim. 1:7) 11

12  Self-denial  Daily cross-bearing  Following Jesus (obey His word) For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. (Luke 9:26) 12
