When we talk about developed or developing countries, we are partly talking about the quality of life that ordinary people are able to have in that country
To put it simply, developed countries are more ‘rich’ than developing countries If we say that developed countries are more ‘rich’, what does that mean about the quality of life that ordinary people can have in developed countries???
When we speak about the development of countries, we have to remember that there are different ‘levels’ of development. Some countries can be more developed, and some can be less
Things that we look for when we try to find out how developed a country is:
Health care Technology Infrastructure Employment Education Economy
If a country is a developing country, we can imagine that we will see things in that country that ordinary people there may have a lower quality of life.
Look at these pictures and find clues that help to tell you about the quality of people’s life there. Please make a small list (2 or 3 things or so if possible) for each picture that show evidence that the people there may have a high or low quality of life.
