2 DFS Approved Curriculum-Unit 3 2 Introduction to Infection Control Infection control is one of the most important aspects of environmental safety. Nurse aides have the responsibility to understand and follow the facility’s infection control policies and procedures. This unit introduces medical asepsis, Standard Precautions and care of the resident on Transmission- Based Precautions.
