R EFLECTIONS P ART II The Application of Merrill’s First Principles are now clear. Previously, they merely appeared to be definitions. ADDIE model seemed utopian and separate from ID model. It is not delineated but guides ID theories. The breakdown of Instructional Theory has not changed but has been added to with the introduction of models, outcomes etc.
