4. For events happen in the future: I will watch a movie tomorrow. I will go to the seminar next week. For requests and offers: Will you ask Candy to see me later? Shall I put this report away?

5. To emphasise whether or not the event has been completed: Have you finished your proposal? Ive talked to David Lee about the report but I still havent contacted Susan Lam. For events begun in the past that are still occurring now,or have an effect on the present time: We have recently started offering discount to regular customers.

6. For events that began in the past and have been in progress up to the present time (since and for) Mr Chan has been living in Hong Kong for ten years. Ive been working in this school since 1997.
