Power Distribution Blocks

2 Typically, PDBs facilitate getting power from the Main (high ampacity) to the Load (low ampacity), while conforming to Codes and specs. The Primary is the input side of the PDB and accepts large wires from the main switch. The Secondary is the output side and can usually accommodate a lot of smaller wires that continue on to the loads. PDB - Introduction Main Power Loads 3-pole PDBs

3 There are Two types of PDBs: PDB - Introduction Finger-SafeOpen-style

4 PDB - Introduction We have many different open-style configurations in both Aluminum and Copper Section I of our catalog shows Mini, Intermediate and Large Configs

5 Our FSPDB is our Newest style FSPDB - Introduction

6 What is it? Copper or aluminum block designed to provide a convenient method of splicing cable or splitting primary power into multiple secondary circuits. Approved for use in UL 508A industrial control panels Finger-safe providing protection against electrical shock

7 It replaces existing open style PDBs Finger-Safe PDBs FS Open-Styles to be replaced FSPDB1A 6310x, 6315x, 6705x FSPDB1C 6210x, 6215x, 6605x FSPDB2A 6313x, 6316x, 6319x, 6757x FSPDB2C 6213x, 6216x, 6219x, 6657x FSPDB3A 6703x, 6706x, 6708x, 6709x, 6751x, 6756x, 6758x, 6761x, 6763x, 6766x, 6767x FSPDB3C 6603x, 6606x, 6608x, 6609x, 6651x, 6656x, 6658x, 6661x, 6663x, 6666x, 6667x FSPDB4A 6700x FSPDB4C 6600x FSPDB5A 6740x, 6742x, 6752x, 6905x, 6906x, 6909x, 6912x, 6965x FSPDB5C 6640x, 6642x, 6652x, 6805x, 6806x, 6809x, 6812x, 6865x

10 Where is it sold? 508 PANEL SHOPS SYSTEMS INTEGRATORS OEMs ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS

11 Why is it Sold? Easy way to splice or split cable in electrical panels and wiring circuits. Sell as a replacement against open style blocks because it has added safety feature Smaller than open style blocks - Din rail mountable - Captive termination screws SCCR requirement for UL 508 panels

12 How Do You Sell It? Sell the features - High SCCR (100kA) - Compact size, modular - IP20 Finger-safe - Din rail mountable Sell FS services & tools - Technical services - Website - Customer service after sale

13 FSPDB FEATURES UL Recognized to std. 1059 and CSA certified 600V rated, 175A to 840A IP20 Finger-Safe protection per IEC529 Short circuit current rating 100kA Multi wire approved Compact footprint with snap-on DIN rail mounting Captive termination screws Multi-pole mounting capability

14 The Competition: Major features: - UL Recognized to std. 1059 - CSA Certified - IP20 Finger-Safe per IEC 60529 - High SCCR (100kA) - High strand count wire approval (classes B, C, G, H, I, K, 1, 2, 5) - Multi-wire approved Marathonsp.com
