Business Opportunities Programme A strong element of the Business Opportunities Programme is to enable local businesses to maximise on opportunities presented from the City of Culture Main overarching theme is to then help businesses build on this year and sustain growth for the years 2013 and beyond. To be successful and sustain growth businesses will need to establish strategic partnerships with each other working together to cross sell and develop ideas that will be of mutual benefit.
Importance of Partnerships Business Partnerships play a key role in boosting revenue as well as enhancing the visitor experience. A business partnership should be just like a personal one “Its a marriage of different individuals for mutual benefit, where similar goals and hopes should be key” (Visit Britain Insights, John Swarbrooke) Business Opportunities Programme
Partnership Packaging Partnership packaging should be developed as a way of increasing business for all concerned. Relationships should not be seen as short term for the 2013 City of Culture year, but rather as something that can be built on and carried forward. Business Opportunities Programme
