You are Needed!! You also need to have the passion and determination to succeed in this competitive industry and strive for your goal to be Number one in whatever you do. It is important to feel needed in the Fashion industry, although you may start off small and grow big, or alternatively already start off big. You do not need an A-level to be successful Vivienne Westwood- - At age 17 she studied at the school of arts – taking fashion and silversmithing she left after one term. - saying "I didn't know how a working-class girl like me could possibly make a living in the art world” - She took up a teaching course and worked at primary school until she met Malcolm Mclaren who open a boutique. - She designed garments and famously designed the 10inch heels that cause Naomi Campbell to fall.
You do necessarily need GCSE to get into the fashion industry but it would be good the have the them as back up. You need a decent amount at least 5 A- C this will include Art & Textiles, as these are the subject you need to further you knowledge in. It would also be great to pass your Maths and English, encase you start your own business.

Summer clubs During your summer break why not join up to your boroughs summer club which have a range of techniques and ways for you to be interested in fashion and even take you further.
