2 SITA UK 17/06/2011 Clifton Marsh Landfill Site - Background Location: - 6 km West of Preston Centre, County of Lancashire, Northwest England Current Capacity: Million m 3 Current Planning Consent: - Lancashire County Council has Granted Consent to Continue Operations until 31 st December 2015 Landfill Disposal Phasing: - 4 Phases 1, 2 and 3 Full and Capped Phase 4 Receiving Waste Disposals Landfill Disposal Capability: - General, Asbestos in a Separate Monocell and Radioactive Waste - Hazardous Waste Transfer Station Radioactive Waste Disposals: - The Landfill has received Radioactive Waste for disposal since 1986 from Springfields Fuels Ltd, Sellafield Ltd (Capenhurst Site) and URENCO UK Ltd at Capenhurst Site under their Respective RSA 93 Authorisation
