WE BELONG TO THE CHURCH; COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS BY: TIMOTHY TAN KIM DE LEON ARDIAN LAGMAN
WHAT IS YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CHURCH? A church is a community of believers where everyone gathers together as one family and would pray to God or serve God.
WHY IS THE CHURCH A COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS? It refers to the group of people who come together with a common belief and purpose which is to adore God and give thanks.
WHAT MAKES THE CHURCH DIFFERENT FROM ANY OTHER COMMUNITIES A church is different because 1.It is founded on a basis of a common religious belief and it offers salvation for mankind. 2.Jesus was the one who established the church for the people and is remembered until today. 3.The priest is the one who presides the mass or the bishop or a pope.
What do "Qahal" and "Ekklesia" mean? What is the relevance of these words to the Church? The word translated as "church" in the New Testament is the word ekklesia (which is where we get the English word ecclesiastical). This word is formed from ek, meaning "out of" or "away from", and kaleo meaning "to call"; so it means literally the called out assembly Qahal - it is the assembly. testament-church/
What does Ephesians 2: 19-22? When we join the community of believers of Christ and become true members of his church, we join the ranks of all others who believe in him as well as those who sacrifice and dedicate their lives to Him. These are the saints. In this case, our bodies also become temples of the Holy Spirit and Gods dwelling place.
What does this text say about the Church? Christ is the center of the Church. He built church because He is the church itself. When we become members of the church, we become brothers of Christ as well as those other members of His church.
