Evaluating an expression is when you perform the indicated operations in an expression to get a final answer.
In order to evaluate an expression, you must be provided numerical values that you can “REPLACE” in the expression.

4. P.E.M.D.A.S
When evaluating expressions, ORDER OF OPERATIONS is important!!
When you replace a number for a letter it is best you place a parentheses around the number so that you evaluate the expression properly.
Example:
If a = -2 and b = 3, what is the result of a2-ab?
(-2)2 – (-2)(3)
4 – (-6) 10
