Check for red marks in the Forms tree. Check the Diagnostics Check the Three Year Summary Shows which required forms were omitted or not completed. Caution! Locates errors and inconsistencies. Do this years numbers differ greatly from last years? Is there a logical reason?
The Intake Sheet Verify the info from p. 1 names, SS#s, bdates, relationships, filing status, dependents Use p. 2 to profile the client – schedules req, credits to be received, paperwork to expect, need to itemize

Preparer Use Fields Quarterly Estimated Payments Adjustments and credits Refund/balance due Preparer and QR initials entered Amounts entered on page 2 of 1040 Have they been received if entitled? Does it seem reasonable?
Paper Return? 1099 MISC Itemized Deductions Is there anything that will prohibit electronic filing? Has income been entered on proper line? Line 21 or Schedule C? Is it earned income? Has Schedule A been used or at least considered?
