Section III: On-line repositories of EU information sources Jeremy Jenkins EDC PEWG meeting Berlin June 2013
2 Does your EDC maintain its own repository of information sources, database or specific collection of, for example, research/academic papers?
3 Breakdown The majority of the 128 EDCs who replied to this question do not have their own repository. 43 EDCs do have an EU repository, 38 respondents provided the details such as name, URL and means of accessing it.
4 Access and dissemination All the names and URLs per country are presented in Annex VIII. –A list which is a useful resource. – A reference source –Finding aid –Needs updating regularly –Flat resource –Gets out of date very quickly –
5 How can this me developed A tool that can easily updated and edited Providing links to key research resources relating to the institutions collections or output. Contains key information about EDCs their collections and resources. Accessible to all around from he informed citizen to the academic research community. Quick reference guide to resources a cross the EDC network Simple to use for the researcher, easy to maintain for the EDC.
