7 Scope of meeting Aim of WS is to: • Share knowledge and discuss our common interest in understanding of methane from hydrates and Arctic Ocean, and the relevance on climate on short, medium and long time scales • Listen & learn, interdisciplinary discussions • Informal, useful, interesting Hopefully MOCA can contribute to both establish and strengthen the collaboration across scientific disciplines to improve the knowledge of “Methane Emissions from the Arctic OCean to the Atmosphere: Present and Future Climate Effects”

8 Program Part 1, 29- lunchtime 30 October: Scientific workshop on Arctic methane and learn about processes at the seafloor, in the ocean atmosphere, and the climate impacts of methane. • Provide broad background • Learn to knwo each other and our respective fields and tools Part 2: Lunchtime 30-31. October: Project kick off meeting for MOCA • Detailed planning of the work • Links within the projects to seek maximum outcome of all efforts
