8 To conjugate an –er verb in the present tense you: CHOP & GLUE CHOP: Chop off the –er ending of the verb. Com er -- After you chop, youre left with the root of the verb.

16 The –ir verb endings are similar to the –er verbs endings. Look carefully and see if you notice the difference.

17 **NOTE: -ir verbs are NOT the same as the verb, ir, which means to go.**
