Students will understand the difference between invertebrates and vertebrates

3. Animal Classification
The Animal Kingdom is divided into two main groups: Vertebrates-Animals with a backbone and Invertebrates-Animals without a backbone

4. Vertebrates
The animals with backbones are divided into five more groups: Mammals Birds Reptiles Amphibians Fish

5. Invertebrates
*Animals without a backbone *Most animals are invertebrates *There are many more types of invertebrates than vertebrates

I am a fish. My body is cold to touch and covered in scales. I lay eggs. I use gills to breathe with underwater.
