A large part of that effort lay in making the interface faster, more responsive to user interaction.
This goal has been achieved through a number of performance enhancements.

Optimized Data Handling
In previous versions of SESA, data interactions relied heavily communication with the database server.
In SESA 3.0 the assessment portal works completely within the client browser.
The end result is that the interaction between the user and the assessment is not limited by the interaction between the client and the server.

Single Page Application
Now using Single Page Application (SPA) technology, the assessment portal is now contained within a single page, making the application faster.
The single page uses views to show specific content. When the content needs to change, it simply disables the content being displayed, and enables the content requested. No page loads, no wait time while the client downloads the overhead content…. Again…

The new search box allows users to filter the list of assessments based on a keyword.

On the new assessment interface, we have added 4 new features that increase the overall usability of the application
Side progress indicator – on the left hand side of the interface, a new box displays the module the user is currently in, and which modules are to come. Giving the user a definite idea of how far they have come, and how far they have left to go.
Top progress indicator – a sliding progress scale positioned at the top of the assessment displays the overall assessment progress in a percentage format.
Return to this question – a check mark now allows the user to mark a question to return to it at the end of the assessment, at which time the user will have a chance to review all questions before submitting them to the database to be scored.
Assessment Navigation – The assessment portal now allows the user to navigate back and forth between assessment questions.
