Male Structures STAMEN-remember -men = male ANTHER-produces the pollen and its on the outside of the pistil FILAMENT-rod that holds up the anther
Female Structures PISTIL STIGMA-sticky top part of the pistil STYLE-tube that contains the pollen tube OVARY-contains ovules which contain eggs OVARY becomes FRUIT and the eggs become seeds
Pollination Transfer of pollen from male to female Animals, wind, and water can be pollinators Animals-Bees, wasps, male mosquitoes, flies, bats, hummingbirds Pollen contains two sperm cells that will break out and travel to the ovary through the pollen tube.
Asexual Reproduction Plantlets-tiny plants grow along the edges of a plants leaves; they then fall off and grow. Tubers-underground stems that can produce new plants (potatoes) Runners-above ground stems that produce new plants
