My answer is, I work as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department(ED). >invert This is often rebutted with statements like; How do you stand to do that?, What is the grossest thing that you have ever seen? and, How often do you really save a life?. Usually I just come up with some small, impersonal statement like, Someone has to work there, and I usually enjoy it. I answer in this way because most people would probably be shocked by what I really think it means to save a life. There may be some ethical differences in my opinion of what constitutes a life and what others consider life.>Im not sure I quite understand this When I think of life, I mean a quality of life that makes the person living it happy or at least satisfied. I dont think that it is wrong to try everything humanly possible to save a person when they are brought in to the ED. What bring up the ethical dilemma is the question, What will we be saving? Where I work, when a person is brought in coding, they have usually come from a distance that means poor first response time and poor outcome. No matter the circumstances, I always do my best to use all of my training and skill to save that persons life.>#10 Yes, there are many times when my care has been part of saving a life that without intervention would eventually have been lost. Honestly, there has only been one event, during my short carrier, when I can honestly say that a persons actions directly, because of what they did, saved another persons life.>this is a bit vague
