ASHRAE IAQ 2013 Conference, Vancouver, BC, Canada, October 15-18, 2013 EHC roadmap is currently being developed, which will include short, medium and long-term research priorities.
Encourage chapter members who cannot attend the bi-annual ASHRAE meetings to engage with TCs and become corresponding members. Quick TAC Facts: 3553 TC Volunteers total – 11% increase since TC Volunteers reside outside of U.S. & Canada 314 TC Volunteers are Young Engineers of ASHRAE (YEA) 70% of Technical Program in Denver sponsored by TCs Over 200 Handbook chapters are maintained by TCs committees committees
More than 13 new Research Proposal Solicitations TRP-1609 Defining the Capabilities, Needs and Current Limitations of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Operations and Maintenance for HVAC&R, TRP-1641, Effect of Unsaturated Flurocarbon Contaminants on the Reliability and Performance of HVAC&R Equipment TRP-1624, EFFECTIVE ENERGY-EFFICIENT CLASSROOM VENTILATION FOR TEMPERATE ZONES TRP-1673, REVISION OF THE ASHRAE HVAC DESIGN GUIDE FOR TALL COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS TRP-1712, DEVELOPMENT OF THE ASHRAE DESIGN GUIDE FOR DEDICATED OUTDOOR-AIR SYSTEMS.
Awarded new research projects RP-1450, TRANSPORT OF CONTAMINANTS FROM GARAGES ATTACHED OR INTEGRAL TO LOW-RISE RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS, was awarded to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for a period of 18 months at a total cost to ASHRAE of $174,539.
