www.seabox.com AluSafe protection panels have been developed over the last 4 years in close co-operation with Norwegian research establishments and Hydro Aluminium AS. The first system was delivered for Norwegian Special Forces in February 2006. AluSafe is tested and verified to satisfy STANAG 4569 Level 1 and Level 3 (doublepanels) by Structural Impact Laboratory – SIMLab, Department of Structural Engineering,Trondheim, Norway.

www.seabox.com The hollow panels are filled with gravel, sand or similar providing the major part of the protection. Panels are lightweight and easily joined together in sections to fit ISO containers. The finished panels are fixed to the container ISO corners. Sand is filled on site, and drained from the panels before transport, thus avoiding transporting the main protection medium.
www.seabox.com Panels dimensions are 65x350x2200mm (DxWxH) and are joined together with a simple click-fit system to form panels of the required length (10/20/40). Assembled panels are attached to the ISO-container corner castings with a simple twist lock fitting. Once attached to the wall the panels are filled with sand/gravel from the top by means of a funnel and hand shovel or a conveyer belt if quantities are large.
www.seabox.com The panels are easily dismounted and can be reused multiple times. Sand/gravel is conveniently drained from the panels before dismounting by opening the hinged bottom lid at each panel.
www.seabox.com The panels can equally simple be used as perimeter protection and will in that case require supply of our purpose designed support stands.
www.seabox.com Compared to ceramic tiles, Kevlar, composite materials, steel etc cost of AluSafe is approximately 70% less! Additionally logistics is simpler due to the modular principle applied, light weight and ease of use.
