3 LR Information LR Shell (25O943) – 6061-T6 Aluminum (drawn tube) – Surface finish: called out to be 64 or better Raw material was thick-walled tube that was bored and honed to final diameter (nicer finish than 64, that is) – ID: 11.000 +.005/-.000 LR Yoke (25O944) – 1018 Steel – Surface finish on OD: 32 OD turned on a lathe before disks were cut in half – OR: 5.480 +.000/-.003 (equivalent OD: 10.960 +0/-.006) Lubricant: – Dow Corning Molykote® Z Moly Powder – 3-4 µm particle size Sept 17, 2013 D.W. 4 LQ Information LQ Shell (27E993) – 6061-T6 Aluminum (forged) – Surface finish: 32 – ID: 17.953 +.010/-.000 4 segments made from 1 long cylinder, with end-to-end variance in diameter of.002; made from same vendor as LR LQ Yoke (27F188) – 1018 Steel – Surface finish on OD: 32 – OR: 8.976 +.000/-.002 (Equiv. 6 Items to Note All shell ID surfaces were honed to at least a 32 finish Yoke OD surfaces called out to 32 finish as well – LR (dipole configuration) yoke diameter was machined.040 undersized, max – LQ & HQ yoke diameters were machined to shell ID, max All assemblies used Dow Corning Molykote Z Powder Sept 17, 2013 D.W.
