The Challenge 8 HIE and Beacon interventions are not being adopted fast enough. The interventions are ahead of the environment and market demand. The clock is ticking.
RIQIs Strategic Response Elevate provider notification as a priority anchor service. Redeploy Regional Extension Center (REC) resources to deliver one-on- one, comprehensive, technical support services to individual Beacon practices. Provide additional subsidies for practices that adopt and consistently use provider notification. Identify, coach, and deploy provider champions. Promote and publicly recognize high-performing Beacon practices. 9
RIQIs Strategic Response (cont.) Troubleshoot barriers to adoption of Beacon interventions and practices. Engage interim Chief Medical Officer and accelerate hire of a permanent CMO. 10
Next Steps Continue to implement Finish Strong strategies. Communicate Finish Strong milestone achievements to ONC and RIQI Board.
