3 George Washington was born on February 22, 1732.

4 He died from a throat infection on December 14, 1799. There are some who say he died from pneumonia or that the doctor bled him, which was a common practice back then, and he bled him too much and that caused his death.

5 In Georges early life he moved to his half brother Lawrences Estate.

6 George did not learn how to read, write, or do math in school. Instead he had a tutor. Math was his best subject. He was 11 and his dad died so George quit school.

7 George was a surveyor, and he also worked in the troops.

8 George was the commander of the army and he was in the revolutionary war.

9 George Washington was known as the president that was the first president. Also, the people didnt know what to call him so they just called him Mr. president.

10 In, 1793 the war broke out between Britain and France. On April 22, U. S. declares neutrality. Washington accepted Joys treaty which settled the arguments between American and the British.

11 George Washington has adopted 2 children. He also married a young widow that was 26 years old and her name was Martha Custis. The people wanted him as a new king but George thought it was time for a change and came up with president. Also, that tale of him cutting down the cherry tree is not true. Martha had 2 children already when George married her. And he was the commander in chief of the Continental Army. He also lead the revolutionary war.
