Petrified Forest National Park is about 341 square feet or 93,533 acres. Petrified Forest National Park is located in Arizona around the Apache and Navajo countrys. It is also in the inter mountain region.
Petrified Forest National Park has a lot of natural features. Here are some of them rocks, mountains, trees and lots of sand. These natural features also describe what the park looks like. This picture only shows a little bit of what the park looks like.
Petrified Forest National Park has a lot of animals. One of them is a Collared Lizard. Collared Lizards prefer temperatures up to 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit. That is really hot compared to what people in Michigan our used to.
Short-Horned Lizards have excellent eyesight to find predators. The colors of their bodies also help them stay hidden from predators. Short- Horned Lizards can survive in places with little or no water. Short-Horned Lizard
Sonora Pronghorn These animals are one of the fastest land animals. Sonora Pronghorns are lighter in color than other Pronghorns. Sonora Pronghorns are adapted to temperatures from 130 degrees Fahrenheit to 180 degrees all the way down to negative 50 degrees.
Cottontail Rabbit Cottontail Rabbits can run up to 18 mph. When being chased the rabbits will run in zigzags to get away from predators. The predators will eventually lose scent of the rabbit. When Cottontail Rabbits run they can jump up to 15 ft to avoid predators.
