Accompanied by Russs wife, Fern, and his 3 daughters, Cheryl, Lisa and Joyce who all stayed at the Villas. Also Picketts wife, Betsy, was brave enough to spend the weekend in the pop up. And Erwins wife, Deborah and his 2 daughters stayed at the Sunrise Farm B&B and joined us for the Awards Banquet.
This is Russs daughter Cheryl with their wonderful driftwood find. They stayed at the Villas with all of the other beautiful people and found this on the shore line right in front of their villa. It really looks like a cows skull. Betsy Cummins wanted to get some google eyes to put on it.
This sign originally hung on the cottage of Scotts grandparents. The boat was roughly over the spot where that cottage was. This is the first time in 35 years that this sign has been back at Jocassee Valley (Lake).
This area near the dam is known as The Wall It was apparently used to quarry rock in the construction of the dam and shore line for Lake Jocassee. The Lake is quite deep at this point and a number of artifacts (including a Chinese junk) have been sunk here for scuba divers to hunt for.
