Students have the wrong idea of what an ED Plan is, some make it on there own terms which can work at times, but for others they tend to get lost in college. From the students surveyed, we noticed some had never seen a counselor, but said they had an ED Plan.. Most Students are unaware of the concept of an ED Plan.
Awareness of programs is more likely to lead student to more opportunities and a greater chance to success. Majority of students at LMC dont know about the learning communities or how much support and knowledge you gain from them. A lot of students here on campus never heard of or knew they didnt qualify for the financial services here at LMC, more than the students who knew about them at all.
Students are under the impression that they are all doing sufficiently well in school when in reality I think the bigger issue is that they just dont know where to find their GPA at so they estimate and make one up.
