5 FAMILY PLANNING WORK (1979) The institution started the first Family Welfare Centre in this area in It has many innovative ideas to its credit. The performance had reach all time high in % of target.The first laparoscopic camp in Pune area was help by our Family Welfare Centre and we are instrumental in popularizing it for last 8 years.The Government of India sanctioned the Infrastructure and Post Partum Centre. The main thrust now is on population education in F. P. Nutrition, School Health M.C.H. activities.The Immunization Programme is one of the best managed activities.
6 Prevention of Industrial Hand Injuries The Lokmanya Medical Research Centre has done pioneering work in Prevention of Industrial Hand Injuries by workers education on shop floor.More than 45,000 workers have been exposed to education material like posters, pamphlets, booklets, slide shows etc.The impact of two-way safety education was studied and it is established that this greatly reduced the occurrence of Hand Injuries.Research papers were presented at Bombay, Singapore, Vienna, Manila and Finland in International Conferences
