2 Fit for the Funds To facilitate increased investment in activities to mitigate and adapt to climate change by helping domestic financial actors build institutional capacities and skills Supported by BMU within the framework of the International Climate Initiative Led by UNEP and supported by Frankfurt School and WRI

3 Fit for the Funds – Three Components Forum Information exchange and sharing practical experience Joint research projects according to interests and needs Provide basic training on aspects of financial management Follow and directly inform the climate finance negotiations process

4 Fit for the Funds – Three Components Technical Assistance Hands-on technical support for national finance entities in LDCs Build capacity to access and effectively deploy international climate finance Facilitate peer-to-peer exchanges through hands-on training and learning opportunities Pilot new mechanisms for financing adaptation and mitigation projects

5 Fit for the Funds – Three Components Inform the International Policy Dialogue Provide bottom-up lessons to the international climate finance dialogues, particularly the design of the Green Climate Fund Highlight ways in which the Funds access modalities can be defined to empower national institutions Demonstrate how different business models work, including to leverage and mobilize private capital Identify capacity needs to strengthen accountability systems of the institutions (results, fiduciary, environmental and social)
