2 Basketball SHOWDOWN! Its the championship game of the ACC tournament. Your team has made it to the final game through hard work and determination. But for the last game, the referees have decided to change the rules. In order to score points, your team has to answer questions in various categories. The harder the questions, the more points you rack up. But be careful! If you miss the answer, your opponent has the chance to steal both the question AND the points! The clock is about to start ticking, so grab your mascot, hit the floor and… LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!!! Home Page

3 The Rules: The goal of the game is to get as many baskets as you can. But you can only get the points if you answer a question correctly. Choose your teams mascot and move him around your side of the board following the arrows. When you land on a number spot you can either answer a question or move to the next spot, BUT you can only move ONE spot a turn! Choose wisely! Number 3 spots have hard questions and earn you three points. Number 2 spots have medium questions and earn you two points. Number 1 spots have easy questions and earn you one point. After answering the question, your opponent has the chance to shoot a basket.

4 MORE Rules If you answer a question correctly, add the number of points you earned to your score. BUT BE CAREFUL! If you answer incorrectly, your opponent has the chance to steal. Keep score on a piece of paper that both you and your opponent can see. Play the game and answer as many questions as you can. When your Teacher says Times UP!, add your points up to see who won. Ready? SET? LETS PLAY! Home Page

5 Game Preparation Gameboard: Print out slide 6 on 8x11 paper. Pieces: Print out slide seven and cut out your teams mascot. Place your piece at the tip-off line and follow the shoes to a number space. Home Page
