Usain childhood Born in Trealwny, Jamaica, on 21 August 1986. His first sports were Cricket and football. He has also said, When I was young, I didnt really think about anything else than sports.
Usain Bolt as a runner Usain start with running after good effort on school running competitions and his cricket coach suggestion to do so. First coaches were Pablo McNeil and Dwayne Barrett.
Bolt won his first silver medal in annual high school championships in 2001 in the 200 meters, with a time of 22.04 s. His first appearance for Jamaica was in the 2001 GARIFTA Games. There he won two silver medals, one in 400 meters with time 48.28s and the second in 200 meters with the time 21.81s
Usain Bolts way to be a professional First appearance on world stage was at the 2001 IAAF World Youth Championships. There he failed. After that the Jamaican community was cross and blamed coach McNeil for the incident. Avoiding all this outcry Bolt ran championship records in 200 meters with time 21.12s and in 400 meters with time 47.33s in GARIFTA Games.
He appeared in 2002 World Junior Championship. He became the youngest world- junior gold medallist ever. Then he equalled Roy Martins world junior record 20.13s. He was awarded with the IAAF Rising Star Award for 2002 and for 2003 seasons.
As a professional Bolt wanted to prove him self in 2004 Athena Olympics, but that chance was ruined by an injury Bolt turned professional in 2004. He became the first junior sprinter to run the 200 m in under twenty seconds.
At the beginning of 2005 Bolt changed his coach again and this time the new coach was Glen Mills. After that Bolt started to prove himself all over the world and he won a lot of junior competitions, but he couldnt get the gold medal at the major tournaments. And then on the 31. May 2008 the mistake was corrected. Bolt won in 100 meters with new world record 9.72s
Beijing Olympics 2008 He did it. He won both with world record, 100 m with time 9.69s and 200 m with time 19.30s. In Beijing Olympics Usain Bolt had one target, to win both 100 meters and 200. He also won with the relay team in 4*400m. There they also made a new world record 37.10s.
