4 The Puerto Rico Senior Golf League, Inc. is a non for profit corporation, organized under the laws of Puerto Rico. The League was founded in 1998 with the objective of promoting golf for the seniors and the general population in the Island. The League organizes over 30 tournaments every year for its members. 4

5 The International Seniors Team Championship In addition we run an Interclub Match Play competition that includes eleven of the golf clubs in the Island. From the original 59 Founding Members we have grown to over 1,200 members in all Puerto Rico. The League is affiliated to the Puerto Rico Golf Association, the governing body of golf in the Island. 5

6 The International Seniors Team Championship During the Puerto Rico Open celebrated last year, the League provided 62 volunteers to the PGA. In 2009 we will continue our support to the Puerto Rico Open with additional volunteers. In 2004, during the International Golf Federation World Amateur Golf Team Championship (WAGC) we provided 55 volunteers to the IGF. 6

8 The International Seniors Team Championship The International Seniors Golf Team Championship is by age group, as follows: years Tecas years Caobos years Robles years Guayacanes 70+ years Ausubos Age as August 31, 2009 Note: The categories are named after trees grown in the Island (ie. Youngest tree TECA, oldest AUSUBO) 8

9 The International Seniors Team Championship Team Championship September, Three (3) rounds of golf USGA Rules will apply (USGA Rule Books will be provided to each participant) Stroke play Gross scores The best four (4) scores of five (5) players in Team Maximum two (2) teams per country 9

10 The International Seniors Team Championship Individual Championship September Three (3) rounds of golf USGA Rules will apply Gross and Net scores ( over three [3] rounds of play ) Three (3) gross prizes Three (3)net prizes (Must present official Handicap Index from participating country (Club or Association) 10

11 The International Seniors Team Championship Entry Fees & Hotel Accommodations (Option I) for players arriving Wednesday, September 9 th, 2009, include: 4 night Hotel Accommodations, Practice round, Three rounds of competition, All Breakfasts and Lunches,1 Welcome Cocktail Party, 2 Dinners (Typical Puerto Rican and the Gala Banquet), Prizes, Official Tournament Polo and Cap, Goodie Bag and Ground Transportation from and to Airport. (See Details Page 12) Entry Fees and Hotel Accommodations (Option II) for players arriving Tuesday, September 8 th, 2009, include: 5 night Hotel Accommodations, 2 Practice rounds, Three rounds of competition, All Breakfasts and Lunches,1 Welcome Cocktail Party, 2 Dinners (Typical Puerto Rican and the Gala Banquet), Prizes, Official Tournament Polo and Cap, Goodie Bag and Ground Transportation from and to Airport. 15 The International Seniors Team Championship With a population of 194,636, Ponce is Puerto Rico's second largest city (San Juan is the first and Mayaguez is the third). Ponce is known as "La Perla del Sur" (Pearl of the South) and "La Ciudad de los Leones" (City of Lions). Ponce was founded in 1692 by Juan Ponce de León's great-grandson, Loíza Ponce de León. 15
