7 Overview of the Ring MaxTM System “RX” ring gasketM12, Model RX is a ring joint gasket for pressures up to approximately 700 bar. This model is characterized as “pressure energized”, the outer sealing surfaces form the first contact with the flanges. Higher pressure causes increased gasket stress, improving the efficiency of the seal. RX seals are interchangeable with the R model groove.
8 Overview of the Ring MaxTM System “BX” ring gasketM11, model BX is a ring joint gasket for very high pressures (up to 1500 bar). This gasket is suited only for API-type BX flanges and grooves. BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure.
