T5 Lamp/Fixture Technology The T5 lamp, and lighting fixture combo is the most exciting technology to be introduced in years!
Ukrops Supermarkets T5 Lamp Technology Why It Makes Sense What In It For Us ? Is It Just A New Fad? Does It Really Work? -These are some questions we hope to address in the following presentation.
T5 The Lamp & The Ballast Lamps are measured in 1/8 th of inches. Therefore the T5 lamp is 5/8 in diameter. Just over ½. The smaller the source the more light you can efficiently get out of the light fixture. The electronic T5 ballast is a program start type. Meaning a little softer and slower start. But longer lamp & system life!
A Look At Lamp Color By Lamp Color we are referring to how items look under the light emitted from the lamp. Lamp Color is expressed in CRI or Color Rendering Index It is a scale from 1 to 100 (100 being the best) The closer to 100 the more true the actual of the material will be.
The Lamp Itself (54Watt HO) The T5 54 Watt HO is offered in three Kelvin ratings. 3000,3500,4000 Lamp Lumens 5,000 (per lamp) Lamp Life 20,000 hrs+(and getting Better)* It has a CRI rating of 85! *projections are to 30,000 hours
The Fixture !
The Ballast One Lamp Ballast (64 Input Watts) Two Lamp Ballast (121 Input Watts 120V or 117 Input Watts 277V) Amps 120V = 1.03 Amps 277V = 0.43
What Does This Mean? 1)Usually very BIG Energy Savings! 2)Much quieter and efficient operation. 3)Long Life for both the lamp & the ballast 4)Improved color and visibility
Energy Savings When compared to the 400 Watt Metal Halide Light Fixture The T5 Shines Bright 400 watt M.H.= 465 input watts T5 HO = 234 input watts = 231 Watts Savings Per Fixture ! 77 Lumens per Watt for M.H. VS. 85 Lumens per Watt for the T5 77 Lumens per Watt for M.H. VS. 85 Lumens per Watt for the T5
T5 VS. Metal Halide Better Color 85CRI Instant On Instant Re-strike Dual Level Switching Emergency Lighting Capable (EM-Ballast) Maintained Lumens More Efficient Poor Color 70CRI at Best 5 to 7 Minutes to full brightness Re-strike 8 to12 minutes Dual level switching only available w/Huge Adder Emergency/Qtz.Only Lumen Depreciation! Not As Efficient
Lumen Depreciation T5 Looses Only 5% over Rated Life 5% Thats It ! Metal Halide Can Loose 40 to 60% at Rated Life Looses More Beyond The Rated Life
Soft VS. Harsh
Lumen Depreciation What Lumen Depreciation Looks Like. Remember Youre Still Paying The Same For Each Respective System.
Cost Comparison T5 vs. M.H. The Differences Never Seem Like Much. But They Do ADD Up! Figures Shown are Costs To Operate Lights.
So, Does It Make Sense ? The T5 System Definitely Makes Sense 1)Better Lighting Job Overall 2)Better Maintained Lumens 3)Huge Energy Savings 4)Better Color
Before & After, You Be The Judge ! This application is 400M.V. Vs. T5 HO
The T5 Technology Is Not A Fad The T5 Lamp Has Been Around Europe for Several years Already. Just As Were Switching to T8s, Theyre Switching to T5s. More and More fixtures are Becoming Available in the U.S. Market every Day.
The T5 System Works ! E.L.S. has done multiple installations using the T5 High Bay. Everyone weve done, the customers are Ecstatic! Our T5Customers Include: Dominion Resources, McLane Mid-Atlantic, Wella, with many more in the works.
T5 Is The Future There is absolutely no question that the T5 system is the light fixture of the future. It will take over almost every aspect of the indoor commercial and industrial market. There are just to many positives to hold it back!
Leading The Way ! E.L.S. Is Proud To Offer A Complete Lighting Solution
