5 LeuchTek GmbH Higher Lumen, then higher lux?? The measured result of a normal Lux-meter is photopic lumen, which is not really corresponding the sensitivity of humen eyes. More scientifically, scotopic lumen- pupil lumen (Plm) should be measured for comparasion. HPS Lamp is 90Plm/W, induction lamp is 140Plm/W 555nm Normal lamp is point-light or line-light source, efficiency is more reliable from a reflector. Induction lamp is surface-lighting source, which has much bigger luminous surface and better uniformity. Not definitly! Induction lamp has 70-90lm/w which is not the higest, however:
