5. How Does It All Fit Together?
In the Army Acquisition community, SPS is the cornerstone of DOD’s paperless acquisition initiative. The Procurement Defense-Desktop (PD2) is the largest contracting system in use supporting approximately 65% of the contract actions .
Contract actions over the micro-purchase threshold created by the Army must be reported in FPDS-NG.
ACBIS is a management tool that extrapolates data from eight (8) incoming interfaces, sends data to three (3) and utilizes nearly 50 applications that receive, extract, transform, load, test and monitor data.
