Buying and Maintaining a Car Practical vs. Fantasy
Note: The monthly payment for this car is $1,884. This is with a 5.0% interest rate and no money down. If I were to put $2000 down, it would only save me $60 a month. In a year, it would cost me $22,608.
In a year, it would cost me $5,783.04.
Practical vs. Fantasy The Honda Accord, would be the absolute obvious choice. The Honda is not only cheaper to finance, but it is more logical considering the amount of money it takes to maintain the car. The BMW is ridiculous in price and the amount of money to maintain the vehicle is not worth the depreciation/value of the car after several years. For the purposes of the assignment, I would purchase the Honda Accord. However, in reality I would not purchase either one because there are other affordable cars like the Honda that are more appealing to me.
