17 Language Points In all of these conversations one person asks another for honest opinion about an article of clothing. Rather than saying directly they dont like it, they suggest an alternative. The suggestions are a way of nicely saying I dont like it. For example, Well, Id prefer yellow to black. Hmm. Its not my favorite color. Or Id rather you take the green one, cause it looks good on you.
