2 Psalm 112:5-9 (NKJV) 5 A good man deals graciously and lends;          He will guide his affairs with discretion. 6 Surely he will never be shaken;          The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance. 7 He will not be afraid of evil tidings;          His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is established;          He will not be afraid,          Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.          9 He has dispersed abroad,          He has given to the poor;          His righteousness endures forever;          His horn will be exalted with honor.

3 A Good Man Is gracious (Psa. 37:21,26; Lk. 6:35)
Is discreet (1 Sam. 25:33; Prov. 19:11) Is stable & established (1 Cor. 15:58; Col. 2:7; Heb. 13:9; Jas. 1:6-8; 2 Pet. 1:12) Is trusting (Prov. 3:5; 11:28; 28:26; 29:25; Cor. 1:9) Is unafraid (2 Tim. 1:7; Heb. 13:6; 1 Pet. 3:14)

4 A Good Man Is benevolent (Gal. 2:10; 6:10)
Is honored (Rom. 2:7,10; 1 Pet. 1:7)

5 A Good Man Nicodemus was a good man (Lk. 23:50; see also Mt. 27:57-60; Mk. 15:43-46) – he was both righteous and generous; he didn’t let Jewish tradition, fear, or riches get in his way of following Jesus Barnabas was a good man (Acts 11:24; see also 4:36-37; 9:27; 13:1,46; 14:14; 15:2) – he was both righteous and generous; he didn’t let self get in his way of following Jesus
