Over 90% of our students are in employment or further education in the first year after graduation Learning and Teaching goes from strength to strength
2012/2013 sees highest undergraduate pass rate yet with 6 Awards given for achievement National Student Satisfaction survey ranks Biochemistry at 95% and Genetics at 91% Margam laboratories refurbished for Biochemistry and Genetics teaching
GEM teams brings the National All-Wales Medical and Dental Education Future Directions Conference to Swansea GMC continue to be satisfied All four years now studying together at Swansea bringing the total to 280 medics Students experience international and wilderness medicine in Chili and the Gambia
Postgraduate Research Conference a resounding success New MSc courses in Leadership and Autism up and running
Its not all work and no play though... The Eisteddfod continues to be a big success MedSoc hosts its first 4All Ball Swansea wins the Varsity 21-13
In 2011/12 we earned £7.2m... In 2012/13 we earned £11.7m!
Prof. Ronan Lyons secures £2.5m from the MRC for the Farr Institute Prof. David Ford signs us up to the Big Data family with £7.96m from the ESRC
EPSRC granted £500,000 to CNH and Human Computer Interactions research group to become a Global NanoHealth Hub Prof. Steve Conlan wins A4B award of £767,000
EPSRC renewed a 5-year centre grant for the UK National Mass Spectrometry Facility worth £3m Dr. Yuqin Wang secures $400,000 from BBSRC Prof. Bill Griffiths wins £687,000 from BBSRC
DR CATHY THORNTON AND CALON CARDIO WIN £1.6M FROM THE TECHNOLOGY STRATEGY BOARD

Congratulations and thanks to all staff on new appointments and responsibilities in line with the new strategy …not forgetting the unsung heroes from the Operational side, Cafe Glas, Marketing, Central Admin, HR office and Research office
So, were going to celebrate by... In 2004/05, the College had just 38 GEM students and 88 staff In 2013/14 we have 418 GEM, Genetics and Biochemistry students and over 600 staff NEXT YEAR, WELL BE 10 YEARS OLD!
