Explore Creativity, responsibility and emotions Through Unstructured, energetic and engaging experiences Lounges for kids Animated character Khozo to entertain kids through rhyme-books, songs, music videos and i Pad apps that embody the spirit of Inner Child DIY toys to be sold at the lounges
Away from forced learning – explore the urges of your Inner Child Unstructured entertainment : – expressing emotions through imaginative role play, music, dance, painting, story-telling et al; there wont be any teachers, just a person to engage and encourage them when they try out the musical instruments, stroke the canvas with the brush, tell a story around what they are feeling or just hit the dance floor Creative exploration, a DIY culture: To give rise to a DIY culture(which doesnt exist in India currently), so kids realize everything doesnt need to be bought off supermarket shelves. We'd like to inculcate a habit of understanding how the various things around them work - their toys, the clock, a bike or just about anything they wish to understand or create themselves; DIY imbues confidence ; a courage to dream on and dream big; even cooking a simple dish is DIY, and so is making a small toy fan that runs on solar power Responsibility : through field trips to farms, to emphasize the importance of natural living, fairness, determination, money et al
Inner Child – the lounge Indulge your kid and the kid in you A café for the parents to sit, and enjoy while their kids have a gala time A much needed outlet for parents who cannot leave their kids behind, and cant take them along either because most restaurants/entertainment options are not kid friendly It would also be an alternate entertainment option apart from going to the movies, malls and restaurants Layout for kids - Easels lying around, a small dance floor, a jam pad with some musical instruments, a DIY garage and a kitchen /café to engage in simple toddler cooking Layout for adults – An open air café to lounge around; an option to mask yourself and indulge yourself in the kid activities inside the kids area alongside kids, essentially engaging your Inner Child
Scalability Our venture targets the two income families where the kids need to accompany adults on any entertainment outing; it is a place where kids can have their fun while adults can lounge around This need is present in all top tier cities – Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune ; Such a lounge does not exist in the country at present The first lounge is in Bangalore as the concept of kids exploring their minds without forced learning is likely to find more acceptance here; Because of the inherent global nature of the IT business, people here have a lot of exposure to international trends such as DIY Covering each city implies opening 2-3 lounges on an average per city; each lounge breaks even within 6 months Getting into the imagination of kids through Khozo who embodies the concept will increase scalability and reduce marketing costs per lounge
3 year roadmap - lounges The first lounge is in the up market locality of Kamanahalli main Road n Bangalore. Located on the same road as Benito's, this would serve a large neighborhood including Banaswadi, Manyata Tech Park, Richards Town, HBR layout et al. Three large high end residential apartments nearby would ensure a regular clientele The order of opening the next few lounges is – Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata After establishing a presence through out the top tier cities through one lounge each, well buy our own farmhouses in each city for field trips (aka Inner Child trails) The presence of Khozo, our animated character on national television and internet will help us establish brand identity The overall timeframe for reaching the above milestones is 3 years from the start of the first lounge; Following this, standard operating procedure and well established brand will enable us to adopt the franchise model for increasing the number of lounges
Khozo – the embodiment of our vision Got a million odd things brimming over my head from when I wake up in the morning till I go to the bed Want to play, want to sing want to dance, want to cook dont want to be handed down a story book Want to be a little whacky Sometimes a little wild Inventor, Artist Thats the Inner Child A character whose 1.5 minute animated music videos will convey to parents and kids the meaning of inner child in an exciting form, songs to which you can dance and sing along!
