HISTORY Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. has been operating in the field of brass press-forging since 1975. Since 2003 is one part of an important group, the Zucchetti Holding, made by 3 more companies: –Zucchetti Rubinetteria S.p.a. group ancestor founded on 1929. Dedicated on taps and bath accessories in chrome finishing. It is leadership in the Italian and international market. –Omez S.p.a. dedicated to moulding of plastic items, was established in 1983. –Kos S.p.a. the last acquisition, it is really recent, beginning of 2007, it produces design bath tubs and shower cabins. Since 1996 Zuccehtti Mario S.p.a. has been certified to UNI EN ISO 9001. Since 2004 Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. move towards a new structure including aluminum alloys division and new alloy division Today are working for the company about 90 people.

PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS Total quality has always been the philosophy of Zucchetti Mario S.p.a., with a constant use of the most modern and updated technologies in the sector That is why we use automatic induction furnaces, which ensure greater uniformity when heating the piece to be forged, better surface quality and lower environmental impact. During the production phase, all excess brass is recovered using automatic collection systems for the scrap from blanking, cutting and turning. Every production process is subject to rigorous checks: visual, forging temperature, dimensional, destructive and weight, (tests are conducted using only SIT certified instruments) following procedures and related control plans that ensure the highest standard of product quality. The company's quality policy has meant that Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. has had Quality System Management certification to standard EN ISO 9001:2000 since 1996.
PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS FORGE PROCESSING The "Forge Processing" phase is carried out and controlled always according to the customer's needs. Forging is studied with the utmost care and attention by Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. engineers, ensuring that the whole forging process develops "in line" with the successive machining phase, while maintaining the usual high quality standards of a company with EN ISO 900: 2000 certification. This makes it possible to harmonies the entire Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. production process and obtain quality forged, finished, machined and surface treated products. TECHNICAL STUDIO The "Technical Studio" means all the offices of Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. that collaborate technologically with customers to develop every request in a coordinated manner. We assure that studies with software simulation made by FORGE. Our expert consultancy is at the disposal of all our customers. PRESS-FORGING DIE PRODUCTION The die is produced exclusively according to the customer's proposal. The steel die is created on the premises of Zucchetti Mario spa.
PRODUCTS AND TREATMENTS BRASS The brass technologies used by Zucchetti Mario spa make it possible to forge a wide range of pieces, articles and various components ranging in weight approximately from 25 g to 15 kg. The Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. forging works has 33 presses with power ranging from 100 to 1000 tons. In order to improve the quality of semi-finished forged products and to avoid damaging the surrounding environment, we use induction furnaces for preheating the billets. Robotic devices and professional staff guarantee controlled production and technical characteristics that remain constant over time. Untreated forged articles can be surface treated or machine finished on the premises of Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. MACHINING The Zucchetti Mario S.p.a. machining department uses 16 transfer machines for transforming the forged articles into finished products ready for assembly. Customers come from many different fields, with applications ranging from taps to boiler components, from pipe fittings to products for refrigerating technologies. SURFACE TREATMENT Both forged and machine-finished products can be given surface treatments to meet the needs of the customer. The company has differentiated sandblasting lines (steel shot or brass shavings) and can also carry out more complex surface treatments such as nickel-plating and chrome-plating.
PRODUCTS AND TRATMENTS ALLUMINIUM The Aluminum Division oversees the realization of finished pressed product from the aluminum bar. The product is controlled during the whole production; the realization process of the aluminum item is carried out in collaboration with the customer. The finished product is entirely realized in our Aluminum Division (technical studio, elaboration and realization of mould, sampling, pre-series, productive batch). In order to improve the quality of semi-finished forged products and to avoid damaging the surrounding environment, we use induction furnaces for preheating billets. Robotic devices and professional staff guarantee controlled production and technical characteristics that remain constant over time. SUPERFICIAL TREATEMENTS Both pressed and machined products can be treated on the surface in order to satisfy the requirements and the needs which the customer demands. The Stainless sand-blasting is a treatment that gives to the pressed products a clean and homogeneous surface. The pressed and/or machined items are treated through superficial anodic oxidation (Anodization treatment) to protect and increase the resistance to corrosion. In time the corrosion resistance increases with the thickness of superficial oxide layer created (Anodization class) that is between 5µm and 20 µm according to UNI 10681. HARDENING Pressed products are hardened by hardening treatment. For the aluminum alloy product the heat treatment of hardening is necessary to recover the physical and technical characteristics of the bar. The hardening process allows us to obtain hardness higher than HB > 110 and in association with mechanical machining alloys allows us to supply products for your utility.
