Historie 1977 | The idea of utilising energy from the sun leads to the development of solar collectors. 1976 Development and production of heating and hot water pump to utilise environmental heat in the private and industrial sector. 1987 The DHE, the first fully electronic instantaneous water heater in the world. The notion of convenience takes on a new dimension when it comes to the generation of hot water.
Historie 1991 The product range is expanded by systems for domestic ventilation with heat recovery. 1999 The integrated unit LWZ 303. This unique appliance of ventilation, heating and hot water generation. 2000 | The EXPO 2000 project Hofanlage Brombeerweg, a residential development of low-energy houses.
Historie 2002 | Acquisition of the HVACR devision of Electrolux Deutschland. STIEBEL takes over Electrolux-Haustechnik with the AEG and Zanker brands. 2007 | The most modern and lergest factory for heat pumps in Central Europe is build at the production site in Holzminden. 2009 Opening of a second heat pump factory in Holzminden.
Historie 2010 | STIEBEL ELTRON is opening its two new distribution centres in German cities. The new, energy- efficient buildings, fulfil the highest energy standards. 2011 | Enthusiasm for the new trade fair stand at the leading global exhibition ISH in Frankfurt. The company received the coveted iF communication design award for its sensational fair presence. 2012 | The inventor of the DHE und the worldwide first fully electronic instantaneous water heater is celebrating anniversary.
Group of companies Stiebel Eltron and AEG are global core brands. At a national level, both can be supplemented and reinforced by further brands (national brands). The function brands exclusively serve clearly defined tactical purposes. Long lasting successful business relationships rounds out the complete portfolio.

WATER HEATING RENEWABLES AIR CONDITIONING CENTRAL HEATING Heat pump principles... Alexander Klein |
How does it work? Flow Return Expansion valve Condenser Injection line ( wet gas) Liquid line (liquid process medium) Heating output Compressor Inlet line (gaseous process medium/refrigerant) Pressure line (hot gas) Electrical energy Evaporator Environmental heat
What makes it efficient? The rule is: For every °C higher flow rate temperature we have to invest around 3% higher running cost! Source: Internet Temperature difference source/ heating system in °K Leistungszahl= COP COP in relation to the temp. Diff.

Estimated running hours Only medium sized and big size heat pumps (from 30KW up to…) Design size in % Yearly running hours Yearly running hours, only heating, flow temp. below max.
Horizontal collector | Enlargement factor This chart is calculated to the running hours on German outdoor temperatures. In warmer regions the factor will be smaller because of more energy that you will get from the ground even in wintertime. In colder once it has to be bigger.
