3 Peas - Effect of Birds Birds will affect your selling price (by eating your seed) If you do nothing selling price will drop by 10% A scarecrow will cost you £5 and your selling cost will drop by 8% A bird-scaring machine will lower your selling price by 5% and cost you £250 Or you can employ a man to scare birds. Your selling price will drop by 2% but you will have to pay him £5 000.

If you use natural fertiliser your selling price will increase by 10% however this is expensive and will cost £3 000. You could use a cheaper and more effective chemical fertiliser for £500 which will increase your selling price by 25%. However if you use this your product will not be organic.

5 Peas - Bugs Bugs will eat some of your crop. If you do nothing your selling price will drop by 25% You can use a chemical pesticide but if you do then your product will not be organic.
