3 Realistic means seeing things as they are. How are you realistic and not realistic? Realistic You might want to become a rock star, but finishing school is a more realistic goal.

4 The universe is everything that exists, including Earth, other planets, stars, and space. What are the most well-known objects in the universe? Universe The universe is so large that things in space are often very far apart.

5 An astronaut is someone who is trained to fly in a spacecraft. Have you read about any other famous astronauts? Astronaut Mae Jemison was the first African American female astronaut.

6 Being sensible means having good judgment. What is a synonym for sensible? Sensible If you are biking, wearing a helmet is sensible.

7 When you complaine d about somethin g, you protested. What are some things you have protested? Protested When the boys got to leave early, the girls protested.

8 Someone who is paralyzed is made powerless or helpless. What situations might make someone feel paralyzed? Paralyzed Eric was so nervous about his speech, he felt paralyzed.

9 Pennants are long, narrow flags shaped like triangles. Where else might you find pennants? Pennants The fans waved pennants at the football game.
